Guayaquil celebrates big and presents candidates for mayor 2014

This morning took place the student Civic Parade XVIII , which lasted six hours. Hundreds of students honored their city with music and dancing at a distance of over 10 kilometers. Mayor Jaime Nebot placed a wreath at the column of the heroes of the October 9 , in the Plaza del Centenario.

In parallel formal sittings today, is expected to officially launch the nominations of Mayor Jaime Nebot and the governor of Guayas Viviana Bonilla, for the elections for mayor of the city in February 2014 .

As a recreational event, Guayaquil offers Duran Fair, which this year brings new features like an animal exhibit, fair prices, tipical food and the traditional brewery tent “100 Years of Pilsener,” which will feature singers as Gerardo Moran , Maximo Escaleras, A-Ud, Luis Caputi from Los Intrepidos and Aladino.

At 17:00, on the Malecon Plaza Olmedo, Jaime Nebot officially announce his re-election as mayor of Guayaquil, the last that the current Constitution allows. It would be the fourth period with which completed 18 years at the head of the municipal administration.

At 17:30 , on the esplanade of the stadium model , it is expected that the president , Rafael Correa, present the card to face Alianza País Nebot : current Gov. Viviana Bonilla. After that, you perform a free concert by Karla Kanora, Tranzas, Mirella Cesa and Diego Torres.
