The data -which is still provisional and respond to what happened in 2013 (latest available data) – indicate that the size of the economy of this province, as measured by its gross production is 42.157 million dollars: $ 690 million over Pichincha, according to the Central Bank.

Construction, wholesale and retail, paper industry, agriculture, manufacturing, fishing and aquaculture activities are the major contributors. Oil and gas as well as financial services and the flower cultivation, are the strengths of Pichincha.
