Guilds are preparing to protest against the government

Various groups are meeting Friday to discuss their rejection around different decisions of the government of President Rafael Correa.
In some populations of the Amazon region the Association of Autonomous Governments of the Amazon Region (Conga) would protest, announced the prefect of Pastaza, Antonio Kubes (SUMA).
The Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities (CONAIE) will analyze its participation in the national strike announced by trade unions, to be held on 6 and 13 August.
They would claim against authoritarianism, the amendments to the Constitution, free trade agreements, among others.
The Assembly of Retirees and Seniors plan its participation in the strike. Retirees, meanwhile, installed today in Quito a convention to define the operational plan for participation in the national strike announced by the trade union movement.
The Federation of High School Students of Ecuador (FESE) will protest too, according to its leader Mauricio Chiluisa.
