During an interview with the news channel NTN2, Panama’s former ambassador, Guillermo Cochez, said to the Organization of American States (OAS), that the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, “is brain dead since last December 30.”

The former diplomat said that the Venezuelan leader was transferred from Cuba to Venezuela, on 18 February, in a vegetative state, adding that his daughters had already authorized to disconnect him from the machines that keep him alive.

Cochez said that soon the Venezuelan people would soon confirm the deception of the vice president Nicolas Maduro, the foreign minister, Elias Jaua, the Assembly president, Diosdado Cabello and the Science Minister, Jorge Arreaza. Cochez said, “They have been deceiving Venezuela and the world.”

Previously, on February 21, the Venezuelan government issued a medical report in which he claimed that Chavez is recovering and the country is still pending.
