Guillermo Lasso and Lenin Moreno offer strengthen international cooperation for the country
According to the Chancellery, there are 79 International Cooperation funds, in Ecuador and 208 non-governmental organizations registered. But, from all those foreign organizations, only 51% of them are active (106). 75 ended their agreement, 12 are in the process of ending the agreement and only 15 are starting new agreements. Something similar occurs with the International Cooperation that was delivered directly from other States or international organisms.
In these 10 years with the actual government it has decreased, according to the Chancellery´s web page, where we can find information from the extinct Technical Secretary of International Cooperation. In 2008, the cooperation projects were at their peak: reaching 1454. In 2011, although this number decreased, the investment amount reached its maximum, with $396 million dollars. But this has only been decreasing- In 2016, the registered projects are only 367, with an investment amount of $13,6 million dollars. The amount of countries and international organisms that have cooperated with the country remains with an average 35, annually.
