Guillermo Lasso: “I have nothing to do with the bank holiday”

Today, during an interview on “Contacto Directo” with Alfredo Pinoargote, businessman and ecuadorian presidential candidate, Guillermo Lasso reported the placement of billboards along the roads of Ecuador, in which is presented the former banker next to former president, Jamil Mahuad, and the message “the cynicism of the bank holiday.”

“I have nothing to do with the bank holiday. I was Governor of the province of Guayas, there is no single document with my presence nor my signature, so I have no link with the unfortunate incident that affected many ecuadorians” the candidate said

Lasso recalled that in 2006, that time presidential candidate Rafael Correa visited his home twice asking for support, to which the former CEO of the Bank of Guayaquil assured “The Rafael Correa I met in 2006 is not the same as today “.
