Guillermo Lasso promises to return jobs to the doctors

Posted On 15 Mar 2017
For doctors, administrative staff and patients of the Luis Vernaza Hospital, the arrival of Guillermo Lasso yesterday was a surprise. A group of supporters and collaborators of his presidential campaign, stationed outside the outpatient area, drew their attention from 09:00.
Little by little they congregated in the place. The color of the medical clothes mixed with the characteristic white of the T-shirts of the CREO party. Lasso was scheduled to arrive at 10:00, but he appeared 45 minutes later.
After descending from the ‘lassomovil,’ the candidate responded to the request made in a television interview by the postulant to the Vice Presidency of the Alianza PAIS party, Jorge Glas, to audit hisbank accounts abroad.
Lasso indicated that he complies with the law, and he has made public his assets not only during the electoral processes. “And you know what, my assets have been made public, it is something notorious, and I am very proud of it, is not a shame; Why? because I have legitimately earned that money and I pay taxes; Mr. Glas can not say the same thing as I do, nor Mr. (Lenin) Moreno.”
