Gustavo Quinteros sanctioned by FIFA

This morning, the Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) reported that Emelec’s coach, Gustavo Quinteros will be suspended for three months and won’t be leading the club in the National Championship and in Copa Sudamericana.
Francisco Acosta, FEF secretary, confirmed that the decision was made after the FIFA (International Federation of Football Association), opened a disciplinary proceeding against Quintero for insulting the Ecuadorian referee Alfredo Intriago, after expelling the coach in the match between Bolivia (led by Quinteros ) and Chile, on June 2nd. A month later, the coach were hired to lead to millionaire team.
The manager explained that “this would mean that from now through December I can act as a coach but not direct on the bench” in all matches taking place in the next three months.
Today Emelec faces Liga de Quito at 19:30on the start date of the second stage of The national tournament.
