Gutemberg Vera said Judge Encalada is Lying
According to the defense of El Universo Newspaper, Judge Monica Encalada, in a letter to the prosecutor of Guayas, Antonio Gagliardo, says Gutenberg Vera was the one who wrote the judgment against this media.
This attorney and his son Alembert reacted immediately to the serious allegations released by Joffre Campaña, newspaper’s attorney.
At a press conference at Hotel Tambo Real (20:50 GMT) Gutenberg Vera said the complaint was based on Campaña fraudulent documents. “According to Article 341 of the Penal Code, a person who uses false documents will respond as author of the falsehood.”
He also warned that Encalada lied on that alleged written statement and pointed out that Campaña and El Universo pressured her to formulate these allegations.
Vera also said the law punishes with 15 days to 6 months imprisonment to those who have heard about a crime but do not present it before a judge.
