Handwritten Letter by Michael Jackson Has Been Withdrawn From Auction
Posted On 31 May 2012
The auction house Julien’s Auction in Beverly Hills withdrew a letter that Michael Jackson had written to his then-wife Lisa Marie Presley, detailing his need for some sleep.
In the handwritten note, Jackson said: “I truly need this rest. I haven’t slept literally in 4 days and I need to be away from phones and business people. I must take care of my health first. I´m crazy for you I’m crazy about you.” and sign the note: “With love, Turd,” apparently his nickname.
During 1993 to 1996, the “King of Pop” suffered sleeping difficulties.
Although the letter was scheduled to be sold at auction Icons of Music, the company’s CEO Darren Julien confirmed that this is not available at the request of Presley.
