April 2 elections in Ecuador end with a president-elect and demonstrations in at least 7 cities. Daily Expreso has mapped these concentrations, in an attempt to explain the dynamics of the country during the last days.
Ecuador remains fragmented in two colors: green and blue, under the political banner of the two opposing parties: Alianza PAIS (in office) and Creando Oportunidades CREO (political opposition).
The latter group still does not accept the official results of the National Electoral Council (CNE) because its leaders and supporters contend there was a fraud. The challenges were presented at a press conference and with that slogan, the vote-to-vote count is now demanded. The demonstrations began in Quito and Guayaquil and have spread to other cities in the country.
