While some remain at the CNE -shouting slogans, displaying posters and listening to speeches- others (the younger ones) go out and look for support among the drivers.
They all demand the recounting of votes and transparency in the results of the elections on Sunday, April 2. The CNE awarded Lenin Moreno, of Alianza PAIS, who holds a bachelor degree in Business Administration, as the winner of the runoff.
The first days, the protesters focused their protest near the Council. Since Tuesday night, it has been extended to six other intersections in the north of the capital. The Metropolitan Transit Agency even had to limit the traffic. Yesterday morning, for example, in Los Shyris and Seis de Diciembre avenues, the civic euphoria that took the route motivated the presence of almost fifty anti-riot police agents to enable the passage of vehicles.
In spite of the inconveniences to transit, most drivers supported the claim by honking their horns. There were no aggressions or struggles.
