Hearing on 30S is suspended again
The legal situation of 17 policemen investigated for alleged insubordination on September 30, 2010, in Guayaquil, remains unresolved.
On Monday, the Judge of Criminal Guarantees of Guayas, Yolanda Martinez, suspended the arraignment hearing and trial arrangement convened to issue a ruling in this regard.
On August 15, the official overturned the diligence that a month ago had been led by the judge Jose Tamayo, who declined to pursue the case. The judge Martinez overruled the work of her predecessor because, as she stated, she had to review each of the documents identified as defense elements by the counselors.
In addition, an incident also came when the defender of one of the accused showed a notice of the filed null resource and which has not been resolved yet. This made yesterday’s hearing to be postponed again, possibly until the end of September.
