Holding Santa Ana announces the purchase of more shares of Industrias Ales
Holding Santa Ana SA, whose shareholders are owners of Corporación Superior, plans to have a greater shareholding in the traditional Ales Industries.
At the end of December 2019, the holding company acquired 10,684,347 shares from the IA Trust (nominal value of 1 dollar per share), although each share was listed on the stock at $ 0.50. Until Wednesday, January 22, that price had not moved, noted EXPRESO newspaper in the Guayaquil Stock Exchange (BVG).
Santa Ana communicated on January 17, 2020 to the Stock Exchange its intention to acquire up to 1,400,000 shares issued and representative of the share capital of Ales. You already have an agreement with other shareholders of the company.
Thus, this may have 30.51% of Ales’s share capital, before the capital increase scheduled for this year, to 50 million dollars.
In fact, the company has called an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders for February 6, 2020, at 4:00 p.m., in Quito. There it will be known and resolved on capital increase and statutory reforms; issuance of obligations; and, the resignation of board members and designation of their replacements.
“This incorporation of a new shareholder responds to the opportunities that Ales projects towards the future with diversification and innovation of products, expansion of its distribution channels for solid growth,” one of the shareholders told EXPRESO.

And products of its represented as Head and Shouders of Procter and Gamble or FAB of Industrias La Popular, among others. Its sales reached 159 million in 2018.
