Hurricane Marie weakens to category three and keeps moving
Hurricane Marie has been weakened but continues its parallel displacement to the Pacific coast of Mexico without causing significant damage.
Marie was as category four hurricane on Monday, after reaching category five on Sunday, with sustained winds of 215 kilometers per hour and gusts of 260 winds, however, for today, it has weakened to Category Three.
The more affected state has been the southern state of Oaxaca, which has asked the Federal Government to declare emergency or disaster for 10 municipalities reached by the cyclone “so that the necessary support can be provided to about 10,000 affected families.”
Meanwhile, Mexican marines continue the search of three missing fishermen since their boat sank on Sunday in front of the San Jose de los Cabos resort.
