Hydroelectric project in Zamora has an advance of 35%
President Rafael Correa held yesterday a visit to Delsitanisagua hydropower project, located in the parish Sabanilla province of Zamora Chinchipe which have an advance of 35% in its construction so far.
“This is the most environmentally friendly we are doing, science and conscience to do the right things,” Correa said, adding that the beneficiaries of these works will be the inhabitants of the communities surrounding.
The project would generate 180 megawatts of power, as it will leverage the potential of the Zamora River, which has a mean annual flow of 288 cubic meters per second, and will have cover for the provinces of Zamora Chinchipe, Loja, Morona Santiago and El Oro.
Correa claimed that are working “very hard despite the inclement weather,” reviewed the government news portal El Ciudadano.
With this project, the inhabitants of the parish Sabanilla already have water and sewage.
