Preliminary work to exploit the Tiputini will begin the coming days
Petroamazonas plans to start the coming days pre-exploitation works at Ishpingo Tambococha and Tiputini (ITT) after having achieved three months ago the environmental license for the development of the oil area.
The construction works of Port Miranda include the building of a ramp on the shores of the Napo River, where will operate the barges which transport trucks, machinery and materials that will serve for the exploitation of hydrocarbon.
According to estimates, the first drilling will begin in June 2015, but the first barrels of the field will be obtained between late of next year and April 2016.
USD 1.5 million, mainly in studies, is the amount it have invested Petroamazonas so far, but the first field exploitation will require between USD 400 million and 500 million.
