IESS affiliates can obtain passwords through Internet

From yesterday, the members of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS for its Spanish acronym,) may obtain their own passwords electronically.

In a statement, the IESS explained that each user must have an email before undertaking a series of steps and thus access their work history.

Once they enter the portal, some steps must be followed: www.iess.gob.ec; link for members; generate/retrieve password; enter card number or ID code; answer the validation questions; write personal mail; select an image and answer three questions.

The public organization said that the procedure is valid only for people who do not have a password.
