Imputation has “deeply shocked” to Sarkozy
The former French president Nicolas Sarkozy said today he was “deeply shocked” by his complaint due to active corruption, trading in influence and the concealment of violation of professional secrecy, and affirmed that he has “never” committed an act contrary to the rule of law.
In an excerpt from the interview with the “TF1” channel and “Europe 1” radio station, which will broadcast its complete version at 18.00 GMT, Sarkozy said that “the union of the judiciary has the obsession to destroy me.”
According to Sarkozy, who yesterday declared before the judicial police as a detainee for 15 hours, he was placed under preventive detention with intent to humiliate him, and an image of him that does not conform to the truth is bieng disseminated.
“I say to those who hear us or see us that I have never betrayed your trust, I have never committed an act contrary to Republican principles or the rule of law,” said the former president in this advance.
