Independiente Del Valle wins the semifinal of the Copa Libertadores
Independiente del Valle is still dreaming of the final of the Copa Libertadores de America after turning the score around during an adverse match and winning 2-1 in the first semi-final against Boca Juniors.
The Ecuadorian team started the game trying to apply velocity to disarm the scaffolding of the Argentine defense, which in turn kept order and closed spaces in between.
After minute 12 Pablo Perez broke the tie, player ‘Xeneize’ entered the area with a low shot beat Daniel Azcona.
Independiente continued to attack in search of the tie while Boca tried to handle the times and assimilate the backlash.
Del Valle’s attack was constant though it was not clear, in the last minute the ball was divided and there was no certainty to enable Jose Angulo.
At minute 35 Junior Sornoza almost tied the match, but the shot, after a cross from Bryan Cabezas, was diverted.
After 38 minutes the game was suspended due to an electrical failure in one of the lighting towers of the Atahualpa Olympic Stadium.
