Induction cookers will be available to the public since August

cocinas-inducción-ecuadorThe Minister of Electricity, Esteban Albornoz, announced yesterday that from August, citizens may acquire the new induction cookers to start the process of replacing gas stoves.

The Ministry of Energy will make the next four months, the socialization of the advantages of the new appliance and the financing for the purchase of the product that will have a deadline of three years to be paid.

The Secretary of State indicated that the objective of the government is to invest $ 485 million in exchange for energy matrix “that will allow to replace about three and a half million of gas cookers for induction cookers.”

He also added that the government will subsidize 100 KV of energy consumption per month (until 2018) of an estimated cost of 4 cents for each kilowatt than 4 cents, and people who acquire induction cookers may cancel between $ 6 and $ 18 monthly for 3 years.
