The World Bank empathized with Ecuador and offered support before the earthquake that shook several provinces, on Saturday at 18:58.
In a press release addressed to this newspaper, the international organization said that a team of specialists in risk management and damage assessment will be in Ecuador on Monday, with the aim of gathering as much information to support the country.
It has further provided that the funds relating to Risk Mitigation and Emergency Recovery project in Ecuador, approved by the World Bank board last March, could be channeled to meet the needs of recovery and rehabilitation of infrastructure and services in the most affected provinces.
