In just three days of its premier in the United States and Canada, “Iron Man 3” has become the second biggest opening in history, grossing about $ 175.3 million in three days.

The third sequel to the Man of Steel, starring Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow, is surpassed only by the film “The Avengers” which grossed 207.4 million dollars in its first three days in theaters.

“Iron Man 3” was released in 42 countries before reaching theaters in the United States and already had substantial revenues of $ 195 million overseas.
