Israel intensifies attacks and calls to evacuate Gaza

Palestinian youths list the names of the children who were killed in the ongoing Israeli devastating military assault on the Gaza Strip. At least 1,032 Palestinians have died so far in the fighting as well as 43 Israeli soldiers and three Israeli civilians.

After the attack, the Israeli military warned the residents of the Shajaiya and Zaitum neighborhoods, and the Palestinian refugee camp of Jabalia in Gaza city, to leave their homes and go to the center in anticipation of heavy bombing.

Israel must prepare for a “long” military offensive in Gaza, said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “Israeli citizens live under the threat of rockets and tunnels of death; death from above and from below,” said the head of state. “We will not finish this operation without achieving the complete destruction of the tunnels, whose only goal is to kill our citizens,” said Netanyahu.
