ISSFA needs 113 million dollars to cover this month’s payments
The Social Security Institute of the Armed Forces (ISSFA), has right now in its treasury just 6,247 dollars, which would not have enough to cover this month’s payment that includes the retirement pensions and the fourteenth salary for military personnel living in the Coast.
These are the figures released by the delegate of the State’s officers, Bolivar Silva. The organization also informed that the state debt with the Military is around 329 million dollars, of which 113 million are needed to meet this month’s obligations.
“ISSFA director, Juan Francisco Vivero, is concerned and refers to an estimated 113 million dollars in illiquid nature; of them, 70 million dollars are reserved for benefits (health, credit, administrative payments), while $ 40 million are for pensions” Silva added. (I)
