The sacrifice of the business sector to improve the economy

Posted On 17 Mar 2016

Take a step back to gain momentum and move twice. This is the strategy for the common good, taken by the State, which involves the companies and entrepreneurs in Ecuador as contributors to the national economy. This was the message given by the director of the Institute of Emerging Markets from Cornell University, Lourdes Casanova, in an interview with newspaper Expreso.

After her lecture at Balas 2016, held until this Friday in Guayaquil, Casanova explained that they should raise taxes for the state to be stronger and have more resources. That is the sacrifice to do business, because their situation will also improve if the country is economically strong. In general, Casanova said, the countries of Latin America have very low tax rates. (I)
