It’s Confirmed: Llop’s Out of Barcelona

After strong rumours on Sunday night regarding Juan Manuel Llop’s departure as Coach of Barcelona Sporting Club of Ecuador, today it’s been confirmed on a press conference in Quito that he’s leaving. Llop affirmed today he believes he did a “great job” with the team.

After the training on Monday, the departure was confirmed. Llop clarifies he took his decision based on what’s best for the team, and not on the Media and the supporters’ pressure. He added that the Management of the team always supported him until the end.

According to Llop, some players of the team are actually surprised of his decision and have asked him not to go. “I’m very calm because we did a great job, we’re among the first positions, we classfied to the South American tournament and this decision happens precisely when we lose, we were even, and then we lost, so, after evaluating all that, we’ve made a general balance and took that decision”, Llop said.
