JAC, a Chinese brand, already assembles its cars in the country

With an approximate investment of $ 3 million in machinery and state-of-the-art technology, Chinese importer company JAC Motors, along with assembling companies Armacar, and Aymesa, started the production of the JAC S3 SUV in Quito.

The vehicle has a 4×2 manual transmission, a 1.6 VVT engine with 118Hp’s of gasoline.

It is planned to assemble an annual total of 500 units for the local market, and in the long term, it is expected to export this model. The possibility to assemble other models is under studies. (I)
