What is your political aspiration for 2019?

I am a member of the Renace citizen movement that emerged a year ago due to the concern of the situation of the city, the province and even the country. Will you be a candidate?

One of the things we understood in life is not obsessing about something. We must go from those people who were accustomed to put their hands to put the shoulder. If the occasion arises and the movement says ‘Jefferson, we believe that you have to lead’, go ahead.

Why not command the Mayor’s Office?

Why not command the Presidency of the Republic? The sectionals are closer, but when we prepare, and it is a philosophy of life, we always aim for the highest objective. Serving my city will be an honor, but I have served it for fifteen years in business areas. I served her twenty years to represent her. I’m not afraid to accept a challenge of that level …

What do you think of people who do not share the idea that an athlete is a politician?

When some people manifest lack of preparation I see citizens who did not finish school and are inspiring people. When I see a president of the Assembly who finished her third level studies while in office, I say ‘wow!’. I think it’s irresponsible to have studied fourth level or doctorates and not accept those challenges.

What if  Renace proposes to accept that challenge?

Of course, if Renace believes that we can lead, surely we will be happy with life. But it’s not just a matter of having proposals. We are reviewing the financial situation of institutions with specialists. (I)
