Jefferson Pérez will be a candidate for Mayor of Cuenca

The political movement Renace, led by businessman and double Olympic medalist Jefferson Perez made his primary elections on Monday as a prerequisite to the registration of candidacies for the sectional elections of March 24, 2019.
In that public session, which was full of supporters and adherents, his name was ratified for the mayoral candidacy of Cuenca.
Minutes before holding the primary, Perez said that the assembly met “ordinary citizens who live day to day.”
“Hope fullyafter this convention, just with the support we have, we can have that responsibility to serve the city again,” he added.

The designation of the pre-candidates for the rural parish councils of the canton of Cuenca was also carried out.
Esteban Ugalde, Gabriela Brito, Diego Chacon, Geovana Gallardo, Santiago Castillo, Omar Álvarez, Johana Heredia, Manuel Bravo, Adriana Mora and Carlos Auquilla were proposed for the northern and southern districts.
The registration of these pre-candidates in the Provincial Delegation of the National Electoral Council is expected to be this Thursday. (I)
