Jerusalem Lights Air Raid Sirens for the First Time Since 1991

Benjamin Netanyahu
This Friday Jerusalem heard, for the first time the air raid sirens, which weren’t heard since the Gulf War of 1991, meanwhile the Hamas organization confirmed taking down an F-16 of the Israeli Army.
Meanwhile in the Gaza Strip, the desolated streets can be seen and people look to the sky waiting for the next bombing. The explosions repeat itself through the entire Strip. This is how the operation Pillar of Defense began its third day after a night of crossfire between Palestinians and Israelis.
However the government of Israel carried out his promise for a brief cease-fire of three hours without bombings. The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu made this commitment due to the visit of the Egyptian Prime Minister, Hisham Kandil, who arrived to Gaza this Friday to make a quick visit.
Last Thursday the Israeli army intensified its attacks on the Strip. The projectiles even reached the city of Gaza in the first hours of Friday, according to AFP. “There have 130 attacks during the night,” assured Islam Shahwan, spokesman of the Hamas Interior Ministry.
