Jesse & Joy, Juan Luis Guerra and Juanes: the most awarded in the Latin Grammy

Last night, the Latin Grammy gala was held at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, hosted by Mexican actress Lucero and Chilean Cristián de la Fuente.
Mexican duo Jesse and Joy was the big winner of the night with four awards: Best Record of the Year, Best Song of the Year for ‘¡Corre!’, Best Contemporary Pop Vocal Album ‘¿Con quién se queda el perro?’ And Best Short Music Video for ‘Me voy’.
The show opened with a performance by Cuban-American rapper Pitbull, with his song ‘Don’t Stop the Party’. Later Bahian singer Caetano Veloso was recognized as Person of the Year of the Recording Academy. Veloso also won, along with Gilberto Gil and Ivete Sangalo, the Latin Grammy for Best Album of Brazilian popular music.
The Colombian singer Juanes won the Album of the Year category for his album “MTV Unplugged“, produced by the “King of Bachata”, Juan Luis Guerra, who also received a Grammy for Producer of the Year.
Guerra also won Best Song in the tropical category with ‘Toma mi Vida’, wrote by Yoel Henríquez and Alex Bridges, and performed with Milly Quezada, winner of the Latin Grammy for Best Contemporary Tropical Album for “Aquí estoy”.
