Jorge Glas will appear before the Prosecutor’s Office at his own request

Vice-President Jorge Glas must appear this morning before the Attorney General of the State to render his version of the Odebrecht case.
The appearance of Glas before judicial bodies responds to the request the vice president himself made days ago, thus, showing his willingness to testify. The prosecutor of Pichincha Fabián Salazar will listen to his version of the facts.
His appearance before the Prosecutor’s Office will take place amidst political tension, after three failed attempts of the political opposition to achieve the appearance of Glas before the Legislature. A fourth initiative is already under way.
The CREO-SUMA block, in fact, also announced the presentation of a political trial against the vice president, an action that will need 46 of the 63 opposition firms (I).
