Journalists are Attacked Outside National Court of Justice

Alianza PAIS fights with the opposition

Sympathizers of Alianza PAIS and members of the group Kbreados had some confrontations regarding the recent events with El Universo Case. Afterwards supporters of the Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa, started to attack several journalists of unofficial media.

Incidents between supporters of Alianza PAIS (AP) and people that oppose the government of Rafael Correa that are outside of the National Court of Justice (CNJ for its Spanish acronym) in Quito, occur during the cassation hearing of El Universo case.

Sympathizers of Correa arrived early, and started to insult El Universo newspaper, they even burned several papers. After Correa entered the building the sympathizers started to attack members of the group Kbreados. Civil unrest is being reported in the capital. (AV)
