Juan Pablo Montoya suffers accident in NASCAR
Yesterday, racer Juan Pablo Montoya suffered an accident after crashing with a truck loaded with jet fuel.
The impact caused a loud explosion which obligated the suspension of the race NASCAR Daytona 500 auto race at Daytona International Speedway, more than two hours. Cleaning crews worked for more than two hours and left the track clear.
When the race was renewed under the caution flag, Montoya was far behind the rest of the competitors, something went wrong with his car and it started to skid out of control into one of the trucks used to dry the race track, that carried a reactor and over 700 liters (200 gallons) of fuel.
Montoya was unhurt, but he was seen shaking on the grass alongside the track, while the truck driver needed help getting out.
