Judge Orders Imprisonment for Blogger

Hector Mata Villagomez, 24th judge of Guayas Criminal Guarantees performed the trial against Victor Antonio Vizcaino Luzuriaga, due to an alleged rebellion and attempt against public officials.

Vizcainos was accused of offending an ex general prosecutor of the Estate, Washington Pesantez through several publications in his personal blog, www.laplegariadeunpagano.com. During his first statement the accused pointed out that his identity was stolen in order to write such messages.

This was notified on December 01 of 2011, the judge stated that Vizcaino didn’t fulfilled the caution measures imposed by the Prosecutors office. For this reason they were suspended and afterwards it was ordered to the detainment of Vizcaino.

Through his defense Vizcaino announced that he did fulfilled the obligations imposed to him by the court. (AV)
