Judge Paredes Denies Accusations of Monica Encalada

Judge Juan Paredes rejected the declarations of the former judge Monica Encalada, who pointed out that she has evidence that demonstrate that both met prior to hearing of the sentence in case El Universo.

“I haven’t met with anybody, I have met with my conscience. In every case, the person that made those claims will have to prove what effectively happened,” pointed out Paredes.

During an interview, Paredes stated that he is satisfied that his superiors in the Provincial Chamber and the National Court ratified the sentence. (AV)
