Julian Assange Calls for Bradley Manning’s Release

Bradley Manning, “hacker” and former private in the U.S. Army, is now considered a traitor by the U.S. government for having published, on Wikileaks, several incriminating documents from the war in the Middle East, including a video of the attack on Baghdad (in which a U.S. helicopter shoot on civilians).

Manning, 24, was arrested in the U.S. on charges of contempt of authority and lack of discipline.

The founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, during his speech on the balcony of the Embassy of Ecuador in London last Sunday August 19, named Manning referring to him as a hero who should be released.

Manning has been in prison for 822 days, and is the first person ever to be arrested by the filtration of secret documents in the U.S.; Manning now faces a martial court and a possible life sentence. MZ
