Mass Burial After Massacre in Syrian Capital Suburb
Several dozens of corpses were buried this Sunday in mass graves in a Damascus suburb where activists claim that more than 300 people have died after the assaults of President Bashar al-Assad regime. The attack was one of the major government offensive maneuvers to take back control on rebel-held areas in the capital.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that 32 more dead bodies were discovered in the streets of Daraya and that they had been killed by “gunfire and summary executions.” The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights put the death toll of the past week at 320 victims.
Meanwhile the President of Syria reiterated his long-standing claim that a foreign plot was behind of the uprising against his rule and that he would not allow it to succeed “whatever the price might be.” AV
