Julian Assange would have met with the promoter of the independence of Catalonia
Ecuadornews:
The Australian activist Julian Assange, founder of Wikileaks, would have met on November 9 for four hours with Orio Soler, one of the promoters of the process for the independence of Catalonia (Spain). The meeting took place at the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where the hacker has taken refuge since June 2012, according to a publication of daily El País last Sunday.
Soler confirmed the meeting to that Spanish newspaper. Soler added that both men did not address the issue of elections in Catalonia, scheduled for next December 21, after the government of Mariano Rajoy applied Section 155 of the Spanish Constitution and dismissed the authorities of the regional government of Carles Puigdemont and the Congress of that autonomous region.
El País recalled that the Spanish Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the activist for spreading messages in favor of Catalan independence on social networks. (I)
