Posted On 31 Oct 2011
Today an air raid on a camp with displaced women and children was the target of the bombings performed by Kenyan jets in their fight against al-Shabaab rebels. The operative left five people dead and 31 children injured according to an aid agency of the area.
Kenyan military officials confirmed the attacks carried out last Sunday on the town of Jilib. However the raid targeted al-Shabaab fighters linked to al-Qaeda who are linked to several kidnappings of aid workers and tourists on Kenya’s coast.
Two weeks ago Kenyan troops entered Somalia to search and destroy al-Shabaab warriors. The terrorist fighters are making war to the federal government in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia. (AV)
