Kidnapped young women return to their families
Now that the nightmare is over for Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight, two of them could return with their families, after having been kidnapped and subjected to constant abuse for more than one decade.
Amanda Berry, the woman that during her time of captivity, had a daughter, yesterday returned to the house of her sister, which was full of balloons and teddy bears, left by neighbors, while Gina DeJesus of Puerto Rican origin, went to the house of her parents, after being missing for more than nine years.
Meanwhile, yesterday Michelle Knight visited the hospital to receive treatment for alleged mental problems that she suffered before the kidnapping and that would have aggravated due to the conditions in which she lived. According to investigation sources, the medical reports determined that she have hearing loss and damage in the bones of her face, product of the violence of the kidnappers.
The prime suspect, Ariel Castro, who currently has four charges against him would have been reported in 2005 for brutally beating his former wife Grimilda Figueroa, and for trying to abduct their own daughters.
Because of this, the police are investigating if these three women shared captivity with Ashley Summers, who disappeared in July 2007, in the same Cleveland area. The authorities announced that they will give information when they have new confirmed data.
