Kings of England will Inaugurate London Olympics

This morning, the Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth II and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh will formally open the London Olympics on July 27.
Under the gaze of more than 1,000 million viewers, the Queen and Prince Philip will take the first step to start the Games in the Olympic Stadium.
Later on, the royal couple will also inaugurate the Paralympic Games on August 29.
The last Games played in London in 1948, were declared open by the father of Elizabeth II, King George VI, while his grandfather Edward VII had opened the first Games of London in 1908.
