Lasso calls to reject what happens in Venezuela firmly

Ecuadornews:
The leader of the political opposition in Ecuador Guillermo Lasso today considered that those who defend democracy have to “actively” reject what happens in Venezuela. “Those of us who defend FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY must firmly reject what is going on in #Venezuela,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
On his side, the mayor of Guayaquil Jaime Nebot, also an opponent of so-called Socialism of the 21st century, said that what happens in Venezuela “has nothing to do with ideologies. It is a brutal and inhuman abuse of power and a blatant violation of every democratic and civilized concept.”
The Venezuelan opposition announced today that it would hold protests in the streets against the National Constituent Assembly elected Sunday fraudulently, as pro-government forces make up the majority. (I)
