Lasso says he will never recognize the results officially announced by the CNE

The leader of the political opposition and presidential hopeful Guillermo Lasso announced at a press conference that he would never accept the victory of a hopeful declared by the CNE as president-elect since he will be the successor of a dictator. He also referred to this agency as a dark body handled by the ruling party.
“We have experienced an electoral, institutional and democratic blackout. The citizens asked for justice, and it was denied them. They did not even read our request. They dismissed it with the same contempt they feel for the voters. From the bottom of my heart, I say: “I can not be an accomplice to a fraud, can not be an accomplice in a mockery of the voters, I can not be an accomplice in a process full of illegalities, abuse, and arbitrariness. I will never be complicit in a deception of citizenship,” Lasso said.
