Lenin Moreno accepts to take part in a debate

Lenin Moreno, presidential hopeful for the Alianza PAIS (AP) party, is “willing” to participate in a political debate organized by the Network of Teachers, an organization allied with the government´s party, to be held on March 28, although it has not yet been reported where it will take place.

The group sent the invitation to the CREO-SUMA candidate, Guillermo Lasso, in which it is anticipated that “the whole educational community, parents, students and teachers from all over the country will be invited to participate and be the protagonists in this space for dialogue.”

The president of the Teachers’ Network Wilmer Santacruz sent the invitation to Moreno to attend the ‘Presidential Dialogue Ecuador Decides 2017,’ and support his government plan and proposals, cites the letter, dated March 9.

Moreno answered yesterday in his Twitter account: “I have received with great pleasure the invitation of the Network of Teachers to the Presidential Dialogue. We are ready!”

This union wants to know how the candidates will meet the social demands, especially regarding their proposals on how to improve education in the country.
