Lenin Moreno before the betrayal syndrome

Lenin Moreno wants to be president. Now he wants it and he is determined. That is a point in favor of a candidacy that has another advantage within the ruling coalition: to be the electoral figure that raises best expectations, according to the polls.

Moreno was vice president during the two governments of Rafael Correa, from January, 15 2007 until May 24, 2013. During that time he built a profile whose revenues last until now: a man of the citizen’s revolution, standard bearer of social causes, non-confrontational, advocate for people with disabilities and lover of good humor. This earned him higher popularity ratings than those of Rafael Correa, which made him, in fact, a political reserve for a political project that wants to remain in power forever.
