Lenin Moreno is committed to go against the corrupt
Ecuadornews:

A national broadcast of President Lenin Moreno in which he denounced the “brazenness of the corrupt ones being investigated”, seemed to be rather a response to the video intervention made on Tuesday by the fugitive ex-secretary of Communication, Fernando Alvarado.
Without giving names, the president said that “after they abused the good faith of the Ecuadorians (…), after they unlawfully amassed fortunes today they want impunity, today they want them not to be judged, citing political persecution”, alluding to his former cabinet mate in the regime of Rafael Correa.
He insisted on the fight against corruption, for which he recalled that last Monday he met with all the functions of the state with whom he formed an inter-institutional table to fight against those acts.
“Nobody can cheat justice, let alone a suspect of corruption, we will fight without truce to extradite the guilty or suspects who have left the country, or arrest them if they are still here”, thus apparently giving an accolade to the declaration Communication Secretary Andrés Michelena, who this week said that they will also ask the court to process the ban on the departure of 31 ex-officers from the Rafael Correa regime, investigated for some crimes.
“The escape of a suspect shows that he feels guilty, people often say, to confession of a part, relief of proof, which shows that we are on the right path,” said Lenin Moreno.
“As head of the Ecuadorian State and also as a citizen, I urge the functions of the State to act quickly, act effectively, responding to the urgency of the Ecuadorian people to see that justice is done.” He ended his speech with a call to unity, honesty and against impunity.
This same Wednesday, four days after his escape, Judge Silvia Sánchez asked for preventive detention, prohibition of alienation of property, immobilization of accounts of Fernando Alvarado and formalize Interpol to issue red diffusion for his location and capture for purposes of extradition. The country in which he is located is unknown, information that according to the Alvarado defender will be known in a few days. (I)
