Lenin Moreno Presents Handicap Assistance Program in Spain

Vice President of Ecuador, Lenin Moreno, presented today in Madrid, the “Manuela Espejo” mission, a handicap-helping program that is already implemented in Ecuador and now looks forward to extend to immigrants from that country living in Spain.
Using videos Moreno exposed to the Ecuadorian community how it was carried out in Ecuador the first study to detect all the handicapped people even in the most remote and less accessible places.
The program proposes granting a salary to the person taking care of disabled person who cannot fend for him or herself.
The vice president said that there are currently 25 Ecuadorians in Spain with disabilities that could benefit from the program and return to their country in the coming months.
In the presentation, the Ibero-American General Secretary Enrique Valentin Iglesias praised the role of the Ecuador Vice President, who “has devoted much of his life to assert the needs of handicapped people”. (MZ)
