Leo Messi Foundation: On the Run for Achieve Kids’ Dreams

Since 2007, Leo Messi Foundation exists for the unique purpose of giving children the same opportunity to realize their dreams.

While still a teenager, Argentinean soccer player, Lionel Messi decided to establish with the support of his family, a foundation where prioritized mission to act on behalf of children and adolescents at risk.

This work has been developed in Argentina and other countries, with institutions that develop projects with the same ideals of this Foundation: Education and Health.

Considered one of the best football players in the world, Lionel Messi has not only excelled in their roll of a player, becoming an example of sports for children, youth and adults, but also has managed to focus its exemplary reputation and image on his successful philanthropic work.

Among the outstanding shares made by Leo Messi Foundation are the following:

• Signing of agreements to train doctors from Argentina specialized in pediatrics at Vall d’Hebron Hospital, Sant Joan de Deu Hospital, and Germans Trias.
• Agreements between Social Team – Leo Messi Foundation and the University of Belgrano with the aim to work in social action projects in education, sports and opportunities for young people.
• Agreements between USP Alex Foundation and Leo Messi Foundation to provide hospital care to Argentina children from 1 to 14 years old with major ailments hardly to be operable in their origin country.
• Collaboration between FC Barcelona Foundation and the Foundation Leo Messi for vulnerable children in Argentina. These projects focus on three main priorities: Creating Añatuya XICS center, supporting the fight against Chagas disease, remodeling of a sports-educational in Rosario.
